Message From the Chairman
Medland Hospital was ceremonially opened on Sunday, March 10, 2003, at 9.30 am by the Founder & Chairman Dr. S.M.A. Azeez. The history of the hospital is unique. We started to Provide our health care services in 1995 to the people of all communities in the Amparai district under the name of Mediland multi-clinic center. Then, with the introduction of several new services and progressive growth it happened to change the name of our institution accordingly In 1997 Mediland Pharmacy and Clinic Center In 2003 Mediland Hospital In 2008 A complete Hospital Service Started inward, Channelling, operation theater, and labor room facilities with other facilities. Now in 2024, We come forward to be the leading private hospital in Amparai district and one of the leading private hospitals in the eastern province. with more than 50 consultants giving their services and other Physical and paramedical services around the clock.
The Mediland Hospital is centrally located on Main Street, Kalmunai 09.(Infront of Asraff memorial hospital) It would be a great source of convenience for the thickly populated Kalmunai and for those who are coming to Kalmunai from all over Sri Lanka. The Hospital has the most modern equipment required for diagnostic studies and for surgical operations. Midland Hospital is destined to make an important contribution to improving the quality of life in the East and the North-east sections of the city, wilts also cater to the health needs of the people’s belt spreading along the East which is easily accessible by road I am happy. My prayers to the Almighty Allah for His Guidance, to fulfill my desire to be of service to all of society in need of medical treatment with efficiency and care. I will be failing in my duty if I do not acknowledge with gratitude the encouragement and moral support given to me at all times by people at all levels of society.
